Navigating the site
_BREAKING THE ICE is designed to present important information about the geology of southern Pennsylvania through an easily navigable web interface. This information is organized into pages that can be accessed in several ways: by dragging your mouse across the main menu bar at the top of the page, by clicking on the hyper-linked words in red italics, or by clicking any of the large red buttons on this page. You also can search for specific terms using the search box at the top of the page above the main menu bar.
The Introduction drop down menu contains the Welcome page, a summary of Our Research, a description of the Regional Geology at South Mountain as well as the current page, Navigating The Site, which gives directions about how to navigate BREAKING THE ICE.
The Our Research drop down menu lists a series of pages that contain descriptions of our Methodology and the important geologic features we observed at South Mountain according to the locations where they occurred - at the Ridge Tops, on The Slopes or at the Valley Bottom.
